Is Strive FREEMILK dairy-free?
Strive FREEMILK is animal-free but not dairy-free because it contains real dairy protein. Strive FREEMILK’s animal-free whey protein is identical to the protein cows make, which means it will froth, whip, and foam just like milk, but also like cow’s milk, it can still trigger a milk allergy. Why do you use gellan gum in Strive FREEMILK?
Gellan gum is a natural thickener, binder, and stabilizer commonly used in food applications. It mainly stabilizes the water-based gels, such as desserts and drinking jellies. Gellan is often used to replace gelatin in some dairy products, such as yogurt and sour cream in vegan items.
Why do you use guar gum in Strive FREEMILK?
Guar gum is a natural food ingredient derived from a legume called the guar bean. As a thickener, it has eight times the power of cornstarch, providing thickening characteristics at relatively much lower usage levels than most other ingredients.
Does Strive FREEMILK contain GMOs?
Strive FREEMILK with Perfect Day’s animal-free protein does not contain GMOs. Perfect Day’s microflora is good at naturally producing different kinds of protein. The microflora is simply given instructions for producing exactly the type of protein desired—in this case, whey. The flora is then filtered out, leaving only pure protein. In other words, genetic engineering is part of our process, but genetically modified organisms or any detectable genetic material is not present in our protein.
